Physician - Family Practitioner
Job Description Under the direction of the Medical Director, the Physician will receive supervision from the Associate Medical Director and be responsible for:
Tasks
  • Provide direct patient care to Betances patients.
  • Supervise the work of the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner assigned to his/her practice. Collaborate and provide supervision with other physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Medical Assistants and students as assigned by Associate Medical Director/Medical Director.
  • Adhere to documentation and quality standards set by New York State and any other standards implemented by the Associate Medical Director/Medical Director.
  • Maintain an ongoing relationship with back-up hospital and its professionals. Ultimately, have admitting privileges at that institution.
  • Timely completion of charts, patient care forms and billing encounters.
  • Special Projects to be determined by the Associate Medical Director/Medical Director.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must be NYS Licensed Physician MD or DO and in good standing with all regulatory agencies with 2+ years of experience.
  • Must be Board Certified and in good standing with their Board Certified Academy.
  • Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Must be assertive, detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Chinese) a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, supervise, train and work respectfully and effectively with a culturally diverse clinic staff.
