| Job Description |
Under the supervision of the Customer Relations Coordinator,
the Patient Care Representative will be responsible for the following: |
| Tasks |
- Verify patient Insurance (Triage);
- Schedule patient appointments;
- Confirm appointments by phone;
- Distribute patient satisfaction surveys as directed;
- Arrange patient transportation as necessary;
- To retrieve charts for WALKINS;
- To provide administrative support duties for patient care e.g. abnormal
letters, no-show letters where applicable;
- To provide translation during patient visits;
- To make referral appointments to specialties as requested;
- Register patients for all specialty appointments;
- Handle miscellaneous patient information (lab check in, general information,
forms, questions etc);
- Distribute patient metro cards as needed;
- Back -up for new patient registration;
- Other responsibilities are needed

| Qualifications |
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
- Medical Assistant and or Medical Reception Certification preferred;
- Courses in Customer Relations, clerical skills, and telecommunications
skills preferred;
- Excellent communication skills in dealing with people and practiced
clear legible handwriting;
