Patient Care Representative (2 postions)
Job Description Under the supervision of the Customer Relations Coordinator, the Patient Care Representative will be responsible for the following:
Tasks
  • Verify patient Insurance (Triage);
  • Schedule patient appointments;
  • Confirm appointments by phone;
  • Distribute patient satisfaction surveys as directed;
  • Arrange patient transportation as necessary;
  • To retrieve charts for WALKINS;
  • To provide administrative support duties for patient care e.g. abnormal letters, no-show letters where applicable;
  • To provide translation during patient visits;
  • To make referral appointments to specialties as requested;
  • Register patients for all specialty appointments;
  • Handle miscellaneous patient information (lab check in, general information, forms, questions etc);
  • Distribute patient metro cards as needed;
  • Back -up for new patient registration;
  • Other responsibilities are needed
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Medical Assistant and or Medical Reception Certification preferred;
  • Courses in Customer Relations, clerical skills, and telecommunications skills preferred;
  • Excellent communication skills in dealing with people and practiced clear legible handwriting;
