Sayaka Ogata, MSN, NP-BC, is an Adult and Women's Health
Nurse Practitioner who has been working at Betances since
October 2006. Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, she has developed
an interest for different cultures and how they affect health,
families, and women's rights. In 2001, she spent five months
in Guatemala and Nicaragua, where she worked with a non-governmental
organization to deliver HIV education for sex workers. In
2006, she was one of the five Connecticut nursing students
to receive the Nightingale Scholarships. Sayaka received her
Bachelor's degree from Tufts University and Master of Science
in Nursing from Yale School of Nursing.
